thank you for being so faithful and praying1 :) so the last week kind of went in a blur and now i'm back in sunny brissy! feels kind of surreal actually. but i know that the same God who was with me in Japan is also with me in Brisbane! :)
highlights of the last few days include a surprise farewell party for me. and also that we finally went through the second half of romans 1 and also 2 with mr m* and mrs y*-- they were so lovely! they both got me gifts and also instructed me to return to osaka with dav at the end of the year! haha and also, the words of paul in romans seemed to really speak to them and we had a good discussion (which usually when it comes to anything of the bible, a brick wall erects itself and i'm faced with blank faces and single word answers.) :) so thank God for that! also took an extra english class on saturday and had the opportunity to tell this 'renowned' engineer about Jesus! haha! i was so excited! and like because they are all connected to the church one way or another and i've updated the staff about the happenings, i am assured that someone will be continuing with the people whom i've talked to. :)
really thank God too as I bought SO MUCH food back! but like because the flight was perhaps on 3/4 full, they were quite lenient with baggage and allowed me to bring everythng on board! heehee including hotcake mix! which is YUM! :)
so i guess this concludes this chapter of my trip to japan! one thing i really learnt and am still carrying with me is just the idea of being able to share with anyone at anytime. i do know that people might not want to hear the good news. but i am convinced now that every conversation is an opportunity. be it with the doctor, the shopkeeper or some random chick you bump into at the supermarket. :) ah may my heart always be attuned to this desire.
please do continue to pray for Japan. for the land, for the people, for all the friendships and relationships that have been built. for the missionaries and also the church leaders and pastors especially. as christianity is still a minority, it really is quite tiring being a christian there cos u're always sticking out like a sore thumb. :d so pray that the God of all comfort will uphold and empower his flock as they shine in the land of the rising sun!
till next time! thanks once more for praying and please do continue! :)

welcoming spring
so some quick updates and things to praise and thank God for. :)
m* has been reading the new testament! heehee! she said she reads sections of it everyday and is understanding what it means so far. :) she also really wants to visit brissy and/or gatecrash my potential honeymoon to hokkaido for snowboarding so haha! please pray that God will continue to open her heart to himself. ;)
mr m and mrs y have also been quite open in their sharing. and last week when we came to the bible time we talked about how Jesus is the bread of life. and how without Jesus we will never feel completely satisfied. and they although they didn't jump up and down in their chairs with excitement, they definitely looked and sounded alot more agreeable and open with their comments. :) YAY!
just 3 more days before my return to brissy. :)
been quite busy this week just catching up and following up with the friends i made here. as well as teaching english and shopping for omiyages. :) last chance to let me know what you want from japan before i return.
there has been so many highlights this trip and i'm really glad that i took time out to come here. am learning the importance and the almost ease of prayer (like it's something we were made to do) as we pray and fast in the lead up to RESURRECTION SUNDAY! :) haha somehow like just having that extra hour that is focussed solely on praying (and not eating) helps me to understand more about the significance of Easter. like this time it's not just gonna be another celebration day that whooshes by, :) cos we're 'celebrating' now! yay
ohoh! please pray for mario and team up in ishinomaki. there's a massive (7000+ people) stadium that will be filled with japanese who will hear the good news of Jesus! :) please pray for these people and also the speaker franklin graham. please pray also for mario and team that they not be tired out. cos they will be like carpenters/construction workers by day and ushers/welcomers/helpers by night! :)\
ah girls group is starting! talk later! :)
